1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the APOGEOAPI service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

APOGEOAPI provides a REST API for accessing geographic data including countries, states, cities, timezones, currencies, and geocoding. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with different tiers offering varying levels of access.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account

4. API Usage and Restrictions

Acceptable Use

  • All plans, including free, permit commercial use
  • You may cache API responses for reasonable periods
  • You may use the data in your applications without attribution (though appreciated)

Prohibited Use

  • Reselling raw API access or data without adding value
  • Attempting to circumvent rate limits or quota restrictions
  • Using the API for illegal activities
  • Sharing API keys publicly or with unauthorized parties
  • Automated scraping of the entire dataset
  • Any use that degrades service quality for other users

5. Subscription Plans and Billing

Plans

We offer Free, Basic ($19/mo), Starter ($29/mo), and Professional ($79/mo) plans. Each plan includes a monthly request quota and specific features as described on our pricing page.

Quota Limits

All plans, including paid plans, are hard-capped at their monthly request quota. Once the quota is reached, requests return a 429 error until the next billing cycle. You will receive email alerts at 80% and 100% usage.

Billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe or MercadoPago
  • All prices are in USD unless otherwise specified
  • Invoices and receipts are available in your dashboard

Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
  • Upon cancellation, your account reverts to the free tier

6. Service Level

We target 99.9% uptime for paid plans. The free tier is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee specific response times but target sub-200ms for most endpoints.

7. Data Accuracy

We strive to maintain accurate and up-to-date geographic data. However, we do not guarantee the absolute accuracy or completeness of the data. Geographic data is synchronized weekly from authoritative sources.

8. Intellectual Property

The API service, documentation, and website are the property of APOGEOAPI. Geographic data sourced from public and open-source databases retains its original licensing. You retain all rights to applications you build using the API.

9. Limitation of Liability

APOGEOAPI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through account settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
